When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture URL from Google. We do not access your Google password.

2.2 Validation Data

When you submit an idea for validation, we store the business idea description and parameters you provide, along with the AI-generated analysis results.

2.3 Payment Data

Payments are processed by our payment provider (currently Creem). We do not store your credit card number or full payment details. We only receive transaction confirmation, plan type, and a payment reference ID.

2.4 Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymized usage data such as page views, session duration, and approximate location (country/city level). This data is processed by Google under their own privacy policy.

2.5 Cookies

We use the following cookies and local storage:

  • Authentication token — to keep you signed in (essential)
  • Theme preference — to remember your dark/light mode choice (functional)
  • Cookie consent — to remember your cookie consent choice (essential)
  • Google Analytics cookies — for anonymized usage analytics (analytics)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for:

  • Providing the IdeaKiller service (validating your business ideas)
  • Authenticating your identity and managing your account
  • Processing payments and managing credit balances
  • Sending transactional emails (receipts, account notifications)
  • Improving the service through anonymized analytics

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling beyond basic analytics.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA/UK, we process your data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract — Account and validation data are necessary to provide the service you requested (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)

5. Third-Party Data Processors

We share your data with the following third-party services that process data on our behalf:

  • OpenAI (AI-powered analysis engine) — Your business idea descriptions are sent to OpenAI's API for analysis. OpenAI does not use API inputs for model training. — Privacy Policy

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and validation data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain data for legal obligations (e.g., payment records for tax compliance).

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — Correct any inaccurate data
  • Erasure — Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")

Your data may be processed outside the EEA by our third-party processors (Google, OpenAI, Creem). These transfers are safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses or the processor's participation in recognized data protection frameworks.

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure token-based authentication, and access controls to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions to safeguard your information.

10. Children's Privacy

IdeaKiller is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
